Jade and Ryan Wedding
Hints of love blossomed on a crisp, Saturday morning. There was a playfulness about it – not a surprise given the couple whose souls were joining as one this very wintery day.
Taking you back to a few weeks before the big day – just a glimpse – Ryan and Jade showed impeccable preparation and planning, everything “to the T” – this carried through to the big day. Given the current nature of weddings due to COVID, things had to be done a little different. Team Andmor joined the couple the evening before the wedding to assist setting up a backdrop where we could snap group photos with the guests (limited persons on group photo) as they exited the venue – this was fun and an extra special activity we don’t usually get involved with.
Oh, the big day – what a marvel. At both homes there was a feeling of family – you had this sense of ‘this is home and these are the people that mean the most to us’. There was warmth, there was peace, there was grace and most of all there was LOVE.
The attention to detail we believe stands out the most and says so much about the couple. Simple yet elegant and filled with so much depth. These handkerchiefs, made by the grooms mother added so much to the message of the day. A unique welcome to the family indeed.
Jade showed such grace as she made her way down the dramatically long aisle, we heard that gasp of “WOW” from the audience that stood ahead and gazed at the sight that she was – a beautiful and graceful winter bride. As photographers you wait for these moments and can’t stop the goosebumps it brings every time. The sweet melodies echoed through the church building with its wide ogival like structure and the ceremony encapsulated the impact this couple had on all those they came into contact with in their respective lives and during their courtship.
Who they are showed throughout the day as we made our way through the cold city centre of Cape Town, a specific request from the groom who happens to be a lawyer – mind you! The couple made it easy for us to capture their love story as they showed us all sides to it – fun, unique, happy, elegant, timeless, you name it!
The team moved swiftly through to colourful Bo-Kaap where we captured the essence of what this family stood for – UNITY.
All round the experience was definitely one for the books and reminded us how smooth the day runs with thorough planning. We are still in awe of the depth of emotion this wedding displayed which definitely left a print in all of our hearts!
