Nina & Giovanni Breakfast Wedding

Colour and vibrance, that is the statement the Bissolati wedding made. It was a very early start for our team, beginning with team breakfast prepared by Andrea. Well fed and ready to get the day started our team made their way to The Paragon Apartments in Observatory, Cape Town to meet Nina and Gio – a couple whose love showcased commitment and long-standing friendship.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles and an atmosphere that stated ‘we’re ready to take this next step’.  Bride and groom were just rooms apart making it somewhat challenging for our team to navigate with limited space for movement. Alas, we worked our magic and made the best of what was presented to us. Even rotating team members in and out of the apartment to keep things flowing smoothly. Oh did we mention that we also had the team from Dusty Films with us for the entire day shooting behind the scenes of our Andmor team.

As our beautiful bride and her close circle of ladies got ready for the big day we could hear the banter of our groom with his dapper groomsmen in the next room – excited to get going. Just before the groom left to make his way to the alter where he will meet his bride, he asked if he could have a moment with her. We thought this was a special opportunity to capture as we don’t often have both bride and groom getting ready in such close proximity from each other. So, we covered the groom’s eyes so he didn’t sneak a naughty peak.  It was obvious that this day was a long-awaited one but the wait was oh-so worth it.

The ceremony and reception took place at the spectacular ColourLab Rooftop venue, which welcomed us with personal accolades complimentary to the wedding couple. On the rooftop, guests, along with the groom, waited in anticipation for the bride’s arrival. The unity among their family and friends, carried throughout the morning as we captured moments of laughter and love.

Unlike a traditional wedding, we had the opportunity to photograph our couple after their ceremony and Dusty Films continued to shoot behind the scenes footage.

This venue had so much creative flair, including the exterior that was filled with colourful street art. The perfect location to express our own creative flair. The couple could not have chosen a more suitable venue to compliment their colourful love for each other and the beauty of two families coming together through their union. Oh did we have fun with all the colour around us – how could we not utilize the colourful street art!

Our next location was Welgegund Farm just off Malanshoogte Road, allowed time to regroup and refresh – not forgetting a much needed snack.

Between setting up gear and directing shots , we couldn’t help but take a moment to appreciate how the day was unfolding – this was the final stretch! The landscapes on and around  the farm assisted us with creating memorable moments.

As we were finishing up the day, the farm owners came out to congratulate the couple and invited us into the house to take a few pictures inside their very beautiful home. With antique furniture from the very early 1900s still intact we were overwhelmed with the gratitude to be granted such an opportunity.

With the sunset slowly creeping through the trees,  our day had finally reached its closing. A last snap or two of the couple and “that’s a wrap!” as we would say it. The perfect ending to yet another successful wedding day.
